Danny Fenton, aka Phantom, has been given a new task!

In short, literally no one in the Ghost Zone/Infinite Realms wants their mostly peaceful afterlife to be rocked by a certain Gotham rogue named Joker. Which, when he dies, is almost sure to happen because of whatever the hell was in that vat he dropped in included ectoplasm. So, yay, he’s also a little ghostly too, meaning he *is* pretty hard to kill. Unfortunately, there’s also a certain vigilante that is quite keen to murder him in recent years.

So now Danny has to keep the mass murderer trauma clown alive for as long as he possibly can while attempting to keep the Joker from. Well. Being the Joker.

Oh, and naturally, Danny got this assignment AFTER Joker got out of Arkham. Again. And entirely blew up the asylum. Time to join the Goonion, he is NOT doing this without getting PAID, thank you.

Spencer loves spending time with you, to the extent that he'll just sit in a room with you, watching you do your thing, like an absolute creep. And although you adore him, it becomes a little grating to be watched all the time, so you devise a solution.

Every time you settle in with a task and he very conspicuously doesn't have one, you section off a part of yours for him to do.

If you're going through paperwork for your job, handing him a stack and asking him to organise them for you gets his hands moving.

If you're working on a hobby project, giving him a tactile thing to do allows him to stare and for you to feel less like a zoo animal. Handing him a bunched-up knot of yarn to untangle, Lego pieces to sort into piles, or some beads so he can make his own bracelet and not be glued to yours, helps tremendously in keeping him sated and you from combusting.

Could you possibly link me a post about your issue with love languages, if you have made one? I found your posts about IQ and maturing at 25 useful. Also anything about MBTI you’ve written, if you don’t mind. I don’t actually know what that is at all.

Of course!! I said a few things about MBTI here, but tldr it's all eugenistic pseudoscience. And the women who made it up were just so racist.

Love languages are based on a book by a baptist pastor and relationship counselor called Gary Chapman. He is a misogynist, and most of his advice boils down to “women should sleep with their husbands because their love language is physical touch” and “he’s not doing the dishes because acts of service is your love language, not his”.

There’s absolutely no scientific basis for the many books he’s written on the subject (which include ‘The 5 Love Languages for Men’ and ‘The 5 Love Languages Military Edition). He just made that shit up!

Mainly it’s about as helpful as any online personality quiz and the guy who made it all up sucks. Also I took the test and it’s just the same 5 questions reworded 30 times. Not even fun! Oh, I don't really think they are! I do think Chuuya is a Christ figure, and Fyodor is a false prophet of sorts (he's really a Lucifer figure, especially considering the Untold Origins play, which I'm almost certain is adapted from The Revolt of the Angels by Anatole France, but that's neither here nor there). But not really foils.

Rather, Chuuya and Verlaine are foils, and Dazai and Fyodor are foils. Thus, it's fitting to me (and increasingly I think it's where the narrative is going) that Verlaine and Fyodor are parallels.

(Verlaine is alive because Rimbaud resides in him; Fyodor is alive because he resides in others— they're both polyphonic, in their irl literary voices, and more literally in bsd. Verlaine is inhuman as a clone; Fyodor is inhuman as a demon/conjurer. And also, this monologue by Verlaine, but in the context of Fyodor who is seeking salvation by cutting down all of humanity for being sinful and plunging the world into primordial chaos: "Rimbaud. Just once, I want you to imagine just how much it would affect a person if you told them they weren't human. Imagine how it feels to be told you weren't born with God's love, that you are nothing more than a character set someone suddenly came up with. Imagine the depths of a person's heart pierced by those words. It's a pitch black abyss where the moon can't be seen. There is no hope. There is no salvation. Do you get it?" Verlaine was so lonely and couldn't kill humanity no matter how much he claimed to hate it; Fyodor is so lonely and can't bear to kill himself without taking all of humanity with him, even as he claims to be bored by it. Etc.)

Chuuya and Dazai thrive together but apart, and I think Verlaine and Fyodor would nurture one another in claustrophobic togetherness.

the downside to cutting out half my socmed is that I am also terribly NPC in behaviour and forget that I can speak even when not spoken to. so unless I formed that 'outside of fandom' connection or someone messages me first, I just kind of keep to myself. Its like my brain forgets it can have friends outside of proximity. Idk if that's an issue with growing up only child online, being over 30, or moving to a country where I don't speak the language and being a bit of a recluse as a result. prolly a hearty mix of all three and sprinkle in my nerves. Unless something new has happened or is relevant to bring up, I just kind of am present in the place in which I inhabit and sometimes people talk at me which is always nice! but I guess my brain just doesn't consider the social aspect can work in one direction other than unto me.

My friend is traveling around Poland and we're playing a game where he sends me characteristic architectural details from several buildings around the city and I have to guess where he is. So far I'm 2/2, got Kraków by Secessionstil cornices on a 19th-century gmach in that insane palatial style popular at the tail end of the Habsburg empire and Poznań by the mixture of Prussian-style roof shapes and brightly-colored façades with Jugendstil wrought-iron railings. I love POLAND

i speak/understand a small amount of all my object ocs languages but i feel like im learning the most grammar/structure of tongan just bcuz there are less resources for even understanding basic sentences and automatic translators don't understand the sentence structure </3 so i just end up cobbling my own sentences/names together and learn stuff in the process

I know Ransom Riggs has said that he based Old Peculiar on Anglo Saxon, but this word is just straight up Anglo Saxon, like he didn‘t even change it a little bit at all (maybe it‘s supposed to be. Maybe Old Peculiar has some words that are exactly the same, like some real life languages do too)
